I agree with many points that you raise here and of course comparing incomes is only one of many relevant economic parameters.

What I am trying to argue, and here I comparison seems to be more fair, is how wages are bargained. And Denmark, a supposed “socialist” country, is very unique in the sense that there is very little government regulation of the labor market. This is also an interesting perspective for modern American political debate where a higher minimum wage is claimed to be the golden solution of progressive democrats. Here, the Danish example seems quite interesting, because good wages are bargained without government involvement.

Thank you a lot for your compliments at the end- As a US citizen, it is very interesting to see how this received and I’m happy to read that my English hasn't completely evaporated.
